Burnout Isn’t a Personality Trait
Somehow, being constantly busy became a personality trait. If you’re not stressed, overworked, and exhausted, it can feel like you’re not doing enough.
Gen Z grew up in a hustle culture—where productivity is everything and rest feels like something you have to earn. But constantly pushing yourself to the limit isn’t sustainable. It’s just burnout waiting to happen.
Being tired all the time isn’t normal, even if it feels like it is. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice your mental health just to keep up with expectations, deadlines, or the pressure to always be “on.”
Rest isn’t laziness. Taking a break doesn’t mean you’re falling behind. It means you’re taking care of yourself so you can keep going without completely burning out.
You’re allowed to slow down. You’re allowed to have days where you don’t do everything on your to-do list. You’re allowed to prioritize your well-being over constant productivity.
The world will keep moving whether you take a break or not—but you won’t be able to keep up with it if you’re running on empty.
You don’t need to prove your worth through exhaustion. You’re allowed to exist without constantly doing.
