Mic Drop

(- (1)

Mic Drop is a podcast hosted by two friends Dazmine Jenkins and Eliany Leal-Espinoza from Key West who now attend Florida State University in Tallahassee and are both members of ARCC. What started as casual conversations between us turned into a space where we talk about real, current topics that affect our communities and our generation.

The podcast is meant to feel laid back—like you’re just sitting down and listening to two friends talk. Even though the vibe is relaxed, we still do our research before each episode so we understand the topics we’re discussing. From there, we mix in our own thoughts, experiences, and perspectives to keep the conversations honest and relatable.

On Mic Drop, we talk about a range of occurring issues, from social justice and culture to mental health and current events. Some conversations dive into serious topics, while others focus on sharing perspectives and learning from different viewpoints.

Our goal is to create a space where important conversations can happen in a way that feels real, open, and easy to connect with. As students balancing college life and everything that comes with it, Mic Drop is our way of using our voices to start conversations and encourage others to think, learn, and engage.
