I joined ARCC because having lived in a sheltered community for most of my life, I was tired of complacency in face of a societal struggle for equality. I began to work with the ARCC because I see it as an organization with principles. For a better world, racial prejudice has to be combatted because it is unjust, irrational, and undemocratic. My pledge is to do what I hope any member of ARCC would do in whatever position I find myself in to bring about a more equitable community.
