Community in Action: Internalized Racial Inferiority

In this event, Adonai Yidnekachew will be leading a discussion about the younger generation’s view on the present and the future of society. She will discuss how racism has been hidden from youth by schools and by parents. This session will inform us about social media’s impact on teaching youth racism topics and how George Floyd’s murder has forever changed the minds of Gen Z. This session will provide resources for adults and parents to make it easier to teach children about topics like racism and lay the foundation for the next generation. We’ll teach you how to be more open with the younger generation and listen to their voices, to give them more diverse experiences and perspectives to develop in their futures. We hope you join us in this action group to help create a path to learn and fight racism for Generation Z and future generations to come.
