I was fortunate to be raised with the Quaker view that all people are equal. I knew that racism existed, of course, but it took Trump’s election for me to realize not only how deep it still runs in our country, but how alive and well voter suppression is nearly 60 years after the Civil Rights Act. Now that we’ve rid the White House of Trump, I want to help rid our country of hatred, bigotry, and oppression.
