I think we are all individually responsible for actively making our communities the most welcoming and inclusive places to live that we can. As role models for our children and for each other, I feel it’s our duty to be practitioners of kindness and advocates for those who feel ostracized within our communities. I believe empathy helps build relationships and that change happens when people feel that they are cared for and listened to. I think ARCC represents the intention to help people create communities that do this and that’s why I support its mission.
