Gratitude for an Incredible Internship at ARCC
By: Emi Pang
As a recent SDSU graduate, I am so thankful to have worked with ARCC in my last semester! It was such an enriching experience and I loved diving into the non-profit world and seeing how things come together when a passionate collective seeks to make a change in the world. It was wonderful being able to feel like I was contributing to something bigger than myself- especially towards a movement I feel strongly about.
Throughout the internship, I worked on spearheading a website migration project with the guidance of my mentors. I gained invaluable experience from tackling technical work that I was unfamiliar with and understanding how to get through the challenges with great attention to detail. The experience sharpened my organizational and communication skills and helped me feel more confident in my capabilities and work ethic.
On top of all the professional skills I gained, the best part about this internship was, by far, the people. My mentors led me with patience and kindness, cultivating a space to ask questions, learn, and grow freely. I loved being able to connect and learn from people who were so dedicated and hard-working!
As I reflect on these past few months, I feel nothing but gratitude. I highly recommend interning with ARCC to anyone who wants to grow both professionally and personally. Internships can be a strenuous experience, but this one was not. I truly loved my experience and hope that ARCC continues to flourish with passionate, dedicated people like what I’ve seen through my time here so far.
Thank you so much again to the team at ARCC for this incredible opportunity!!
