I joined ARCC because anti-racism means dismantling institutions of power and disallowing them to wield racist ideologies against communities of color. Following in the abolitionist paths of Angela Davis and Michelle Alexander, I hope to work toward ending the mass incarceration of black and brown folk in the United States and build a community of healing in its place. I may not see it in my lifetime, but I believe no one is free until everyone is free.
